Enchanted Sydney

“Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways.” Oscar Wilde

I have a lot of luck when it comes to being in Sydney for the Vivid festival. For the second year running, I happened to be in the harbour city for other [slightly more Supernatural] reasons, but then I found myself accidentally, and luckily, wandering around a Sydney that had been completely transformed by colour – and I loved it!

This year, Enchanted Sydney by the Spinifex Group was my favourite.

“Enchanted Sydney projects free-flowing images of Sydney’s flora and fauna onto the iconic facade of Customs House. The artwork mixes familiar (and not so familiar) aspects of Sydney’s natural environment to create a continually evolving and blossoming world.”

We stood watching the projections on the Customs House for a good 15 minutes before exploring the rest of Circular Quay. Of course, the Opera House, the Sydney skyline, and the Harbour Bridge also looked spectacular. Here are a few of my photographs.
